I lost my wallet!

I know it was probably stupid to have my driver’s licence AND social security card in it (again, im dumb) but now I can’t get either one back without the other?!?!? argh, what can I do?

When I lost my wallet, I just had some random cards in their, and my address and phone number.

There must be a way. I’m from the U.K. so I don’t know how it works, but people must lose both all the time. What about when your house burns down? Or you’re burgled? It must happen. Contact the helpline for a lost social security card, and see what they say. There must be a process in place for people who can’t drive, so not having your license shouldn’t be too big a deal

Do you have a passport?

Or..
If you do not have these specific documents or cannot get a replacement for them within 10 days, we will ask to see other documents, including:

* Employee ID card;
* School ID card;
* Health insurance card (not a Medicare card);
* U.S. military ID card; or
* Adoption decree.

there are ways to do it. i don’t know off hand, i’ll have to ask my boss, but a similar thing happened to her… her passport was stolen as well. i’ll ask and get back to you.
