Nice. The word “stamina” seems to jar in the third stanza. Got an alternative?

good point.
i dunno maybe ‘energy’ or ‘will i’ve found’
“When all my angels fall away,
We’ll see which forces then hold sway,”
I like these lines, the language flows and the words just roll right off the tongue.
I agree with tictactomm about the word stamina…
I’d like to see where else this poem could go :)
Great poem…I like it :)
Setto,
you got skills. Mad skills. I liked several things I’ve seen by you. Maybe you want to polish it off for the thrill of the kill of the lost soul you mention. It could be any of us that have felt this emptyness and dispair. Deep dude!!
hey, nice poem setto,u got some good green then?
Actually, now that I read it aloud a few times, stamina isn’t bad at all. Stam-in-na…keeps in time with the flow of the stanza I think.
woh thanks everyone! my dad said it was boring lol.

heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell yeeeeeeeeeeeah.
Pffft, what do dads know about poetry? *lol*
Yeah, there is some great stuff here. A life journey of fire and water, the narrator fleeing from and to darkness. Keep writing Setto, and burn those spliffs into the wee hours!
yeh nice one,i usually enjoy a good smoke of green myself but have packed in for a while as it makes me think too deeply

guess you dont like to think too deeply
if stamina is a problem, that’s the endurance it takes? I loved it tho.
i didnt think id ever quit smoking weed but at the minute i need my thoughts to be normal, hey arw369 i like to think deeply but ive got a few issues at the minute so ive had to stop for fear of my sanity.

maybe you should write something? it’s the easiest way of getting the s*** out of my head.
Did you know a high percentage of creative people and geniuses suffer from acute anxiety and depression? They feel misunderstood and can’t connect with people, they are on a level that norms can’t identify with.

makes sense.
with people i’ve met so far in my life, the smarter they are, the more upset they seem to be with the world.

Thats true
yeh,im not very good at writing stuff setto but i like to play my guitar(to a fashion)
Agreed. Creative people tend to be more sensitive to things, more in tune with a deeper resonance in Earth. Sounds flaky, but I think tis true.

i tried guitar for a while but i’m too aggressive with it and it sounds poor.

thats funny! try drums they sound good almost all the time
Exactly, Van Gogh, Hemingway, child prodigous, but look how the world hangs on their views and interpets their paintings and music and declares them with homage. Let your spirit soar and be free to travel to all that feel it, keep it going Setto, Im betting you couldn’t stop, you feel and need to. It’s called passion.
you guys are all awesome!
(i mean guys as in a unisex term lol)
ok

nah setto’s not my real name lol wish it was. it’s my graff name, or to put it a way you’ll get: my graffiti tag lol.
and actually drums sounds quite appealing. but isn’t a kit really expensive?
yeh mate thats the only downside they are quite expensive, you can get them second hand easy enough tho.i got offered a smart drum kit a couple of months ago for 140pound was well worth it but i got neighbours
