food help: My co-worker eats lunch every day at her desk. - Help.com

My co-worker eats lunch every day at her desk.

She doesn’t seem to know how to eat with her mouth closed. She just chomps away on her food like a cow and it grosses me out. How do I tell her in a nice way to shut the hell up??

I’d send an anonymous email telling her that her table manners are grossing people out.

confrontation is a life issue. just sit down with her and politely tell her. simple as that. i mean, it will be awkward yes, but you have to be straight forward.

i had to deal with a few of these situations before… people not brushing teeth or taking showers enough (i was an RA in college). most of the time they don’t realize what they are doing (not doing) affects those around them.

do it privately though, you would want the same.
