truthfully, I always enjoy the odd movie in which evil triumphs over good…mostly for the novelty, but also because in real life, sometimes that happens. While sometimes I need the uplifting hero riding off into the sunset with love interest after defeating the evil plan, I really appreciate the totally unexpected evil over good ending.

thats true, it really breaks out of the ordinary plot, and a great example of that is “fallen”. Its one of those movies that gets you thinking, and has you confused till the ending about who is and who isnt good. but overall id vote for a happy ending, one that uplifts at the end when the credits start rolling
