school help: I need help focusing in on school work, I am in college, my parents - Help.com

sounds like a lot of pressure. maybe that’s why you can’t focus?

Use ritalin - totally kidding (straight edge myself). Do you have an annoying roommate or friend issues, or is it is just concentration in general? Did you ever have this in high school? Maybe you really do have a problem - hopefully not. Some ideas: don’t have tv or noise around you when doing homework, sit in the front - even if it looks lame, set aside time for fun - maybe treat school as your day job and get everything done before a certain time and give yourself fun time as an incentive to finish what needs to be done. I’m trying to help you with some ideas, but your issue is extremely vague.

oh, i wish i was as lucky as you!.. i have to pay my own way through college.. its a pain.. lotsssss of money.. even with my scholarships.. consider yourself VERY lucky.. and take advantage of what they’re giving you..

you dont want to mess up and have to go back and pay for it yourself.. =/

but i have trouble concentrating also.. being pregnant and having a HUGE family, including 4 house dogs.. i feel like i can never get away to get anything finished lol =P ..

what helped me was just forcing myself to take my books and things i really needed to work on with me everywhere.. that way whenever i get bored or have nothing else to do.. they’re sitting there staring at me lol..

music helps me too.. even thought its somewhat of a distraction, it blocks out other distracting noises.. and it helps to not be so bored.. and I still get my work finished..
