what country? liberal democracies will have a way of removing via voting or impeachment. others may have shoved themselves in for life in which case theres a number of ways of removing them, assination, coup d’etat, foreign invasion or as you stated revolution.

you an impeach them but they have to step down voluntarily,President Richard Nixon resigned once the House Judiciary Committee had approved articles of impeachment, but before the full House had voted to on the articles. President Bill Clinton was impeached but did not step down. President Andrew Johnson was impeached but did not step down either.i’m pretty sure you cannot prosecute a sitting president so therefore he cannot be ousted. you have to wait till after his term to prosecute him.

Here in the Philippines it seems that it has just been an endless cycle. Everytime a person gets seated as president, there is always a threat of either a revolution or impeachment.
