Instructions:
Cut the egg carton into 4 rows of 3 cups. Glue 2 sections together by lining up the open part of the cups to form the totem pole. Use paint or markers, construction paper, feathers, beads, or anything else you can think of to decorate your totem pole.

Native Americans used totem poles to record a families history, and they usually used an animal to represent important events. Try to make your totem pole reflect some important events in your life

Do you think that making a totem pole is really going to help you learn about Quebec? If not, be sure to tell your teacher. A lot of these projects seem like fun, but are just a big waste of everyone’s time.

Furthermore, if your teacher is assigning you an art project such as this one, it is just wrong for her to do so without giving you instruction in drawing, color, and use of art materials. If she has not done this, you really need to complain to her.
