Person help: Christian claims, but not Christian actions have me so troubled. - Help.com

Christian claims, but not Christian actions have me so troubled.

I posted on here quite a lot about how Christians on this site treat others, about how others treat Christians and how it doesn’t have to be that way.

I have found that that there are those on both sides that are willing to come together and have a discussion without it breaking down to ugliness, but others just want to fight and cause trouble.

I’ve recently discovered that some posters that claim to be Christians, post Anon just to say ugly things to Non-Chirstians, that has me upset on several counts.

For one it upsets me that my Christian brethren and friends have been duped by those people into believing that they are something they are not.

For another it makes all Christians look bad to the Non-Christians.

I know that I fail and I make mistakes, but I try. I try to be a good person and a good Christian.

I don’t know what to do about this situation, so I’m coming to you.

What should I do?

I’ve went to this poster personally to try to talk to them about their behavior, but they have not responded to me.

I truly want to warn others about this poster so others won’t be hurt, but I think that would be gossipy and vengeful.

Please Help!

And Christians help me pray.

You can’t take responsibility for the actions of others. If someone is posting anonymously and saying bad things-I take what they say with a grain of salt. As I’m sure most people do. Because if they can’t take responsibility for what they say by putting their name to it then they’re just trolls to me.
Don’t waste your energy on this/these people. Who and what they are will surface for itself. Who and what you are is surfacing for itself also and you are so much more impressive then an anonymous poster throwing out insulting remarks.

TeddyBear, thank you, your response has helped me alot.

Mike, there will always be those, it is something that has always troubled me in the real world as well. Not so much about how I’m treated, but how non-Christians are treated, to me that is the worst.

Sophie, no disrespect taken, I didn’t post their name because I’m not trying to start trouble or personally break any rules, the rules are there for a good reason, I was asking for me.

I was very upset and didn’t know where to turn.

Just one more thing, it isn’t just about one individual post, though that did stir me up, it’s about any Christian that behaves in that manner.

Peoples actions are more important than their religious claims.

we cant control how others think, speek or act. we can only control our own behavior.
i believe we owe it to ourselves to be open minded, give others love and respect. we dont know how thier day or how thier life is going.
when somebody is negitive us and we respond in a negitive manner, we are giving them control of our thinking. it would be better to not respond at all and pray for them or to respond with a positive that will disarm the negitive such as ,thats ok your still great in my book, positive is much more powerful.
as humans a couple of our big faults are ego and judgement if we can get rid of those the world would be amasing. best reguards and may god bless you

well let me seperate the christian into two parts:
- real christian
- christian by birth

christian by birth are ppl who are they birth christian and dont have any idea what is christianity is all about , and when somebody attacks the christian religion since they dont have any clue about their religion or the opposite person , they attack the other person with hard words and stuff , and they really dont listen they just argue to argue ,, since they dont know what is it like to be a christian they dont have any seed ( work ) so they are quite useless and really they arent christian…

real christian are the ppl who read the bible and try to work as it says at the max , they try and try and really know about their religion , they just dont talk , but walk … most likly if somebody attacks them they are alot peaceful and less agressive…

I’ll have to give that some thought, but my initial reaction is disagreement with at least part of that. Of course I’ll not claim that I understood all of what you said, because simply I do not.

I don’t argue over the Bible, I believe the Inspired Word of God stands on it’s own without any help from me.

Is this a trick question?

No, not a trick question.

I hope it’s not being rude, but I figured out my course of action and I feel good about it, so I’m going to close this post.

Thanks to all that helped me get perspective.
