I’d recommend staying away from him. If he’s not telling you any of his information, and calling you his “best friend”, you should at least follow the steps in the above articles and never meet in person or give out any personal information.

And also, especially since you’re under 13, you shouldn’t “become friends” with strangers on the internet. (Don’t even share your age! Most websites (this one included, most likely) do not allow you to communicate with other users if they know you’re under 13. I would remove your age from your post.

The way it sounds is he is either a petaphile or a guy who likes to hide his idenity. If i were you i wouldn’t give any personal information away at all. You really don’t know much about him, so don’t trust him. Generally you should lower your time talking to him. If he gets too personal with you and asks you where you live and it gets serious, tell your parents immediatly, or tell the police.

It’s good that you’re not so naive. However, the fact that he won’t give out his ID doesn’t really matter. I think that most of the ID’s on the internet are phony anyhow. Don’t get into any heated discussions with anyone you don’t know. Just a hi and have a nice day or just ignore them. Curiosity will get you into a lot of trouble. Stick to people that you personally know from your neighborhood and school. I know it can be boring but that could easily be your undoing. Stay safe…
