Any bartenders here?

My partner and I just came out of a severe financial wreck. As of today we are able to save money and spend a little on fun. We haven’t been able to do that for about three years. What we need is a drink that tastes good and gets the job done.

Any ideas?

I’m not a bartender, but I recommend Jägermeister shots. :)

My own twist on the White Russian -
-1 part Vodka (but make sure the Vodka is Vanilla flavored so that you can add a little more than normal without bittering the drink up; Shmirnoff does a pretty good Vanilla Vodka)
-2 parts Kahlua (they have a hazelnut flavored Kahlua now that goes pretty good in White Russians)
-Substitute for the half and half (trust me that vanilla soymilk does this drink a whole lot more justice than the standard issue half and half. also, some people use baily’s irish cream in lieu of the half and half. i think the baily’s doesn’t taste as good as the soymilk, but it will give your drink a higher alcohol content while still tasting better than halfandhalf)
-Pretty much every bar does this over ice, but I recommend it warm. Also, when it is warm you can mix Cinnamon into it which makes it a whole lot better.

Not extremely expensive as far as drinks go, but you can take it to a pretty high alcohol content while still having it taste really good. It’s one of the drinks I usually default to if I’m serving a small group at my place. If you guys are planning on having a bunch of people over, there are other drinks that are easier and even cheaper. Here’s one that I usually pull out when there are more people around -

Whiskey Sour
-one shot whiskey (any cheap whatever brand usually works)
-fill the rest of the way with Lemon Sour (Schwepps is the only brand I ever see, but I’m sure any brand would do)
-over ice in a lowball sized glass

Hope that helps ;)
