Electric guitar package

http://www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-Les-Paul-Special-II-Player-Pack-102328 770-i1150103.gc

would you say that’s good for my first guitar? and I can’t spend any more money than that.

I think thats a sick deal! alot better than what i found. I think its awesome you’re getting into guitar, its a great hobby.
you know the les paul was the starting guitar for dozens of famous guitarists, some in particular: the guitarist from red hot chili peppers, nirvana, and the man slash himself. i’d deffinitely go with this guitar, heck, iI’m think about buying it now too lol

First guitar? Yeah looks great.

My only concerns are that Epiphone necks are their achille’s heels…I find them too thick, and if the guitar falls or suffers any knocks, they arent very durable. Plus, Les Pauls are notoriously heavy and can be a bit awkward if you arent used to guitars.

Obviously not a patch on a real Gibson Les Paul, but as a first guitar it looks great.

But if its the LP design thats got you intrested in it, I seriously suggest you look at a Tokai copy first. They are seriously good quality Gibson copies. Better than Epiphone IMO. If you can find one or a bundle in your price range, go for that.

also, i strongly recommend getting a program for your computer “first lessons for electric guitar” from its a great program, it teaches you by showing you the tabs along with a video of the fingering, and has its on metronome to help with timing, it tells you specifically what finger to use for different chords, then lets lets you expand to use your own style of guitar check it out at:

Looks like a great deal…I learned the feel of the fret board became priority. The Les Paul has a heavy feel and the Fenders have the lighter feel. I personally like to buy the name brands as opposed to the copies(only because of resale, you always get your money back out of the Fenders, Gibsons, etc…). If you are like the rest of us in the game, you will end up with at least 3+ different models in your closet(that’s why we stay broke, we keep buying a new one to be able to mirror the song). best of luck
