I was wondering if anyone knew of ways to get college funding for a youth with a troubled past?

I’d really like to get into school and live on campus and didn’t have the most stable of upbringings. I was hoping there were foundations or scholarships/aids for types of situations like such. I’m not looking for a free handout either, I’d just like to have this kind of opportunity and am willing to work as much as possible to attaining it.

go to http://fastweb.org/ they have scholarships for practically everything. even scholarships that don’t necessarily apply to what you want to go to school for, some scholarships nobody signs up for so being the only one you’d automatically get it. you could probably get scholarships by writing essays too.

You can try your luck at online charities like Digital Charity, people may send donations if your story is convincing enough. More information at http://www.laodn.org/

Cool, I’ll check both of them out. I’m not sure how comfortable I feel about telling my story for charity. Especially since it’s not a brief one.
