life help: I have a severe case of Empty Nest.

I have a severe case of Empty Nest.

My 18 yo left for the Army a few days ago, and my 16 yo just went into Job Corp…my boyfriend is an a** and I need to move out of here, but find myself with little cash on hand…and little desire to pack. I have always been a strong Independent woman, with a great career and my own house which I sold a year ago to move in with said boyfriend. I have never been “stuck” in my life until recently. I am not usually a whiner, but I just can’t figure out my life anymore. How does one go from always knowing what they want and getting it to having zero clue. I am more confused at 40 than I was at 14…go figure.

Take one day at a time, one step at a time. Try to remember that at this point in your life… It is finally your time! Now is the time that you can do anything you want to. Nothing is holding you back. :)
Decide what you want to do and where you want to be and go for it. 40 is a great age to find yourself. With the children off living their lives… Maybe it is time that mom starts living hers. :)

You are very welcome! I also went through the empty nest… I am 41 now and I am enjoying my life. It took some time to figure it out, but I am glad that I finally got to spend some time with me! :)
