Help with writing out an Experiment (for Science)

The experiment is to investigate the properties of silicone,
I know how to do these, just not what to say!

We need to test the imperviousness of water, its flexibility, and acid resistance, but I’d also like to investigate its impact absorption.

To test its imperviousness to water, dump it in a bowl of water.. or something, and weight it before and after. If it gained weight, it is not impervious.

To test its acid resistance, do the same thing in vinegar,

And to test its flexibility.. bend it?

Aim:
To investigate the properties of silicone that make it suitable for use in bionics.

Apparatus:
?????

Method:
???

What do I put here guys?
Thanks!!!!

apparatus: Bowl of water
Method: Submerge object in water and measure weight difference before/after submerging.

Actually you have this yourself ;)

For flexiblity: you could use different bowl shapes and see if it wants to go in,.. following the shape of the bowl.

Something interesting that you might want to consider is Silicon in different forms… In fungi (mushrooms) they use a silicon based cell wall.

Ever thought about what glass is?

Also think about the periodic table, Columns tend to have the same properties. What other elemental groups are there that could help your understanding of Silicone.
