I just wish that girls would listen to me, because every time I tell them that I want to be alone, and don’t want to date them, they fall for me.

I’m in Afghanistan, I am in love with a girl back home. I am really in love, but one of my best friends just got out of a relationship, and she has fallen for me. I don’t know how to break it to her, because she has been my best friend for the 2 months that I have been here, and I don’t want to lose her as a friend. Also, we are both stationed on the same base until next January. So if I don’t play my cards right on having a talk with her, it’s going to be a long year. I would gladly take any advice, or may I say any that helps.

just tell her about your girl friend, she might understand, but if not at least you wont be going behind your girlfriends back. your counciouss will be cleared. if your friend doesnt want to be friends any more, well its probably because shes upset, shell warm up to it eventually. you need to do whats right for you.

let her down easy tell her that you are in love with this girl back at your home and that you are not ready to date this friend, it is a hard thing to do but it is the right thing to do dont just tell her that you have a girlfriend and that you are not interested you will lose her as a friend for sure if you do that. just simpliy tell her that you are in love with someone else and that she is a nice person, but you have someone back home that you have more feeling for.

I think you should just tell her the truth. The sooner you tell her, the easier it gets, TRUST ME! I was in the spot, and sooner is WAY better. And don’t string her along, tell her right away.
