my ipod froze and now it is making this wierd sound…

like a zipper and then some beeping. it is loud and annoying and how do i fix it?

like its like frozedn like the screen is but then like it makes a strange beeping sound and i really need help unfreezing it

It is probably the hard drive. Older iPods have been known to do that sort of thing. If you can’t get it to unfreeze, you should think about getting one of the newer ipods.

it now has a picture of an ipod with a sad face and apparently i am out of warranty. this is the second ipod i had that i did nothing to but it just broke.

Oh mine did all of that, but my ipod had a sad face with x’s for eyes :(…. Unfortunatley, if its an older ipod (old mini etc) and it has no warranty, then it is probably dead, and you would just have to buy a new one. I sent mine back to the shop last year when it started to play up, and they said they didn’t make the parts any more, but they did tell me the reason why it had died….the battery was worn out.
Thats the problem with buying more expensive mp3 players…. if they’re going to die, they ALWAYS just after the warranty expires.
