Your depression may be doing the talking for you. It makes you feel like everything is hopeless and negative.

You probably have some great qualities that others see in you and you can not see them because you have a poor self image.

Focus on the positive think about you do have and not what you dont have.

sorry to hear that; but this thing about comparing yourself to others doesn’t appeal to me. i can’t be more happy about myself just because somebody is worse off. maybe that’s my problem. or maybe i just want to sort my life out. i want to do the things i enjoy doing, yet i am feeling constrained. to make things worse, i don’t know what i want to do with my life. i am 22, studying towards a degree in a field i am getting sick of, i am constantly on the lookout for new things and i am never satisfied…

i believe life is about choices,
you can say to youself, my life is a mess , or my life is awesome.
you need to find the beauty in you. you need to take control of your thinking.
you were made as the perfect you, i am sure you are a wonderful, loving and a lovable person. you need to see that.
i have learned over the years that most of us have never learned to love and accept ourselves. and i dont mean this in a vein way. i believe we all have some great talent and abilities, we just have to find them, try to figure out what you are passionate about, thats a great start. also learn to love and accept yourself, look in the mirror and look deeply into your eyes in a very short time you will find this really wonderful person. if someone has caused you pain in the past forgive them and move forward, forgive yourself for past disappointments. we all make mistakes.
wake up tomorrow with the ATTITUDE to day is the first day of the rest of my life, its gonna be a wonderful day, i am looking forward to great things to come, do good things , do good deeds ,inventory all of your blessings , believe you have wonderful things ahead, you can make life as exciting as you like, if you have an attitude in this manner get ready for some wonderful miracles.
good luck and god bless

Hey anon,

i know how you feel. im 22 as well, and its just a bit of dodgy age anyway. its a real crossroads point. You look around and other people have graduated, have possibly started careers, heck, some have even got married or are veering that way.Its an age where you really need to start making decisions. Sometime i feel overwhelmed because i havent achieved even half of what i want to achieve yet, and it keeps me awake at night. The only thing you can do is try not to think about it too much, constantly distract yourself and just get on with things. Thats the only answer i have for you, because sometime i have moments when i feel like that and you cant really do anything about it, you just have to ride it out. Just like everyone else. know what i mean?

Take care x

Just by knowing that you are always looking for new things shows that you need to be challenged and enjoy learning. try to use that for achieving the satisfaction, fullfillment your seeking. Do you have God in your life? He will help you with the depression, worry and so much more, just for the asking.?
