There is an old Buddhist story I read a long time ago. I know I’m going to word it completely wrong, but it goes something like this -

Living a human life is like being shot with an arrow through a vital organ. You know you have a limited time to live, a limited amount of things you can be concerned about. Some people spend the rest of their time wondering important sounding questions like, “Who shot me? Why did they shoot me? Did I deserve to be shot?”, their mind completely somewhere else until they die. Some people deal with the situation at hand, trying to mend their wounds as best as possible and then dealing with whatever life they have left, even if they never know the reason why it happened. Which do you think is better?

We all have limited time; we are all dying. Go out and enjoy life while you have the chance, whether or not anyone else seems to know some “secret”.
