Oh goddddddddddddddddd I’m about to fail out of college because I no longer care enough about my work.

Would I be okay if I fail out, go home to San Francisco and work my way through life? Someone give me some perspective because I feel like ****** **** **** right now. :(

it is okay to do that. are you going to do that? let’s put it this way, it is not NOT okay, if you know what i mean. what i mean is, whatever you do is really okay. if you stay in school it is okay. if you drop out and never go back it is okay. if you drop out and return later it is okay. if you transfer to another school it is okay. the first step in sorting out your life is to know that everything is possible. and most everything is okay. get yourself out of a state of panic. it is okay. get to thinking clearly. then you will know what is not only okay, but what is BEST.

Freez….the decision depends on what you want to be when you grow up, no really…it may be hard for you to see right now but will haunt you later when you want to suceed. Maybe just go slow and get some focus before you move forward.

It is really up to you. Endur is right. If you want a career in something that requires a college diploma then, no. Otherwise do as you please.

you should join americorps N*CCC its a great program if you need a break from school for a while. I believe everyone loses focus in their life at some point, you might just need a change.

I had to take a break before college as I did so badly when I was 18 and had to retake some exams, my sister left school when she was 16 then didn’t go back until she was 24. Now I’ve got a PhD and she’s got a Masters so you see if you do leave for a bit it’s not the end of the world. I think it’s better to leave if you’re burnt out then try and drag on and spend a load of money getting crap grades that are worthless anyway. Check with your college that you can go back. I know so many people that have had to do this because of money problems that I know that you can do it at least in some places.

Try and get a job lined up before you go back, or at least some prospects, then you won’t be sitting around with no money wondering if you made the wrong choice. If you know sort of what you want to do then, like the others have said, check out if there is a stage where you will need a degree. If you do then if you take some time out at least you can get some good work experience under your belt and go back to college fresh. Good luck in whatever you choose.

Don’t drop out!!! Everyone has failed or almost failed a college course. If you are failing there is definately a problem; your major, friends, work, how your time is being spent, depression or unsolved issues.

Everyone has doors that shut in their face but it’s your job to keep going. Ask yourself why you went to college and if it will bring you closer to your dreams.

The truth is that we live in a post industrial society, so in other words, all of the low skilled jobs are being outsourced while the good jobs are going to those with higher educations.

Maybe college isn’t for you and there is something better out ther. Or maybe you just need a break and some time to think about what’s important to you. Whatever you decide to do, don’t just leave because you gave up.

You will always have opportunities to work full time or to just quit, but you might not always have the opportunity to follow your dreams.
