So my first ’serious’?

relationship just ended, just one week short of 6 months. It was long distance, 4 hour separation. I was reluctant to get into a relationship in the first place, but I gave it a shot and sure enough it ended. Within a couple months I was crazy about this girl and she me, things seemed great, I tried avoiding talking about the future, but sure enough started with that too and things seemed great, then the weekend after V-day we met halfway, she totally ignored me the entire visit, said she was just really tired, sure enough next morning I wake her up and say we gotta talk, then she says I just can’t do this, but I couldnt even react, just numb, I wish I could feel something, what does this mean? Was any of that 6 months real? I truly believed I loved her, was that not the case, how could it just end and why am I not able to have a reaction?

Well, if I had to give you an answer to this. I think the drain of having a long distance relationship got to you. Maybe you wanted a break from it all along and didn’t realize it. That’s why you were numb, you were both distraught and relieved at the same time.

timbob4108…sorry to hear things didn’t work out. Long distance relationships can be good or bad, all depends on the people. The numb part may be because you havn’t really spent any quality time together i.e. face to face. Yes we can grow to like someone on the phone in all but until you spend time together…you really don’t know much or develop that bond that really hurts when something goes wrong.
