it makes sense. i’ve been told to stop replying to posts for being honest, that i wasn’t helping.

i only ask because i’d posted something as neutral as i could, but at least one person replied, addressing me as if i were a key character. in retrospect, i can see why, but i had hoped that writing it the way i did, people would reply without bias. maybe some did, but i wonder, if one person thought i played a certain role whether those who supported that character also thought it was me and were trying to cheer me up?

it wasn’t intended as an experiment. i sincerely seek opinions about the problem i presented because, although i am a third party, i am connected to the people involved. in other words, i didn’t identify myself in the story (example: “my brother married a lady who had a son from a previous relationship…”) because i didn’t want to look like i was taking sides because i want to know how other people see things, without being influenced by my (presumed) opinion. (i’m probably making this more confusing)

you know, me too. and i guess it’s true for most people.

i was just thrown off when “anonymous” addressed me as someone in the story that i’m not. maybe i didn’t present it as neutrally as i’d thought.
