i need some help in regards to this real estate woman

who is using other people’s name and SS number- it has to be in good standing in order to be approved- in order to refinance a house to get the equity. She promised to give a percentage of the equity to the unsuspecting person like $5,000.00. She said she will borrow that person’s credit for at least a year or when the equity goes up again. But after the deal is done, she took off and the person is left with the loan, with no $5,000.00 and the house which he can not sell because the equity is pushed to the limit. The victim’s credit is mess up because he can not pay the mortgage. I read in the department of real estate that this is illegal but I do not know how to report her. She is still doing this up until now. please help.

Call the mayors office. Serious, we elect people to help us and they have a branch that deals with people who get ripped off.

Anon, she’s probably not even licensed. I would report her to the attorney general’s office in California. You might even think about calling the police, as well as the local media. Some consumer reporter will be eager to tell this story.
