I think any time you are taking hormones, mood swings are possible. They are changing the chemistry in you body. If mood swings are real bad, call your doctor. He might want to switch you to a different type of pills.

Ah, so they do. I went to the women’s clinic (for a UTI for some reason. . .) and they switched me to Yaz. I’m sick of Ortho Evra patches, anyway. I can’t seem to put them on right. :P Hopefully I get better, I’m sick of being depressed and not knowing why. :( Thanks.

I just read up on PSDD. Sounds like my symptoms, although I can’t be sure.

Yeah, but not as much as birth does. Seriously, anything that messes with your hormones is going to have some impact on your emotions.

Statistically, birth control causes women to prefer more “manly” men while girls not on the pill prefer “less manly” men.

i been on 7 different types of birth control pills and took the shot. I am a horrible person on the pills.my boyfriend made me get off them because he was going to leave me. we were both frustrated and i couldnt handle the roller coaster ride. up and down non stop!! so now its on to condoms and i hate them. im not realyl sure of an alternative other then the IUD.. but who knows.. ive tried everything

OK so today i went and had the IUD put in because no birth control ever worked,I got horrible mood swings from all types. So having the IUD put in is kind of painful but not as bad as having a child. I think it will be worth it in the end. I hate the fact that i just got off my period and now i get to enjoy bleeding again!
