Ive been having these weird thoughts lately.
Like…is any of this for real? or not? props and possibly a prize to anyone who can figure out who said that, when, what it was in, and who the charachter is. but i digress. the reality is, i have been having an odd thought recently. its stuck in my head, and i cant get it out. i have a sense that it means something. its very descriptive. i can feel, taste, smell, everything. the problem is, its like a video clip about 10 seconds long, i cant access any more than that. it came to me in a dream, and it persists throughout the day. here it is (dont just tl;dr it, actually read it plz):
Im standing in the middle of an aged road, seems to be about 65 years old (thats what # popped into my head, anyway). The landscape is completely flat, the road is the most dominant feature around, and seems to stretch on in a strait line in both directions. there are dark gray clouds above, making the conditions overcast. the air is stale and salty, and smells of salt, leading me to beleive it may rain soon. i can also smell a vaguely familliar, yet unidentifiable smell, which seems to be artificial like some manner of exhaust, it creates a (once again familliar) but ultimately unidentifiable taste in my mouth, though not entirely unpleasant. off to either side is an (seemingly) infinite desert of dry, cracked dirt. The air is dry due to the lack of recent rain in the area. the only distinguishing landmark in the area, save a few dead trees, is the road. i can hear that creepy whistle you get when wind tears through a canyon or ravine out in the distance, but nothing is visible. i can also hear the caw of crows, also not visible. i dont know how i got there, what i was doing, or what my friend was doing there with me. All i had was a profound feeling that i was trying to do something important, that there was something here to be discovered. another odd thing, this road currently is, and seems to have been totally devoid of any vehicles traveling on it for quite some time. now that ive described it, this is what happens. My vision seems to fade in, then i look to my right, and see my friend we both seem to be walking. as i look at his face, i notice some slight facial hair, indicating that he and i have both aged, thus this event is in the near future. he looks at me seriously. suddenly its like the video just cuts out, but it keeps going. that last noticable thing is that i hear him say “are you ready?” with great importance.
wtf is with this!? also, any extra explanation needed i will try to provide or make clear. plz help me clear up this conundrum. the parts i do see and hear are as clear as though im actually there.
