So I moved away from my hometown about a year ago and

now My buddy who also moved about year ago, who just now came back to the town, Tells me that all of our old Bro’s are straight-up addicted to oxycontin and Banging it. What. the. ****? (So thats why they havn’t been on myspace). One of my best friends got in too deep and Him and his Girlfriend had skip town, this **** is ******* rugged. How do you slap common sense into people? How can you make them do what you know is healthy for them when they physically can’t do it for themselves? Do I go there and kill the dealers? Do I destroy the pill company’s?

oxycontin is a ***** to kick, they probably need professional help and family intervention. its not about slapping common sense into them, drugs literally change the way the brain functions and it takes a lot to overcome addiction.

I have to agree with dupes. Drug addicts are unfortunately not going to listen to reason as the only thing you start caring about is the drugs. A person will do anything to get the drugs and anyone that stands in their way is not going to do anything other than p#$* them off. Killing all the dealers in your area is not going to stop him from getting it where he is now anyway. Sadly you are going to have to get him real help - like a place where he is kept away from the tempation otherwise it aint gonna change

come to think of it, people who get on drugs usually need to be around different people and make new friends, otherwise they fall into their old habits after treatment. maybe you can help, maybe you cant. either way they need treatment for their affliction.

Maybe if you cann’t help them you must get away of them too. Bc like now people would worry about you more than them bc they might hurt you or they might convince you into being one of them or you might kill the dealers and go to jail. That’s really worrying, maybe you would better convince them to get some help with that, or just talk to some professional people who know better how to help people like your friends. They will sure help you find a way how to let your friends agree to getting help. Bc that’s really hard to do. Just take care of your self first of all and don’t do anything stupid :) well i’m sort of worried about you more than about your friends.
