That is a tough one, I don’t know if I could handle physical torture, but most anything up to that point. The main problem is, no one really agress on what heaven on earth is…I would be pretty mad if I gave up my limbs and ate live magots to have Dahmer’s heaven on earth.

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”- Gandhi

You want heaven on earth? Then you must become as pure as an angel, and return to grace.

Hmmm it depends. Ummm everyones veiw on heaven on earth is diffrent. I would fight for it and do all I could, but in the end whatever I do it will be futile. Things in this world are temporary and everything is always changing. Even if someone achieved heaven on earth. It would eventually disiperate into the rest of the world.

I’d encourage science, human liberties, the arts, and philosophy. I’d especially attach importance to science, and I’d try and bring everyone a more clear understanding of it. I would get rid of all the religions just like in the song “imagine”.

I once read in the NIV study bible that heaven, in the context used by Jesus in the gospels is a translation of a word which at the time was a word for God, which was ok to say (unlike his name which must not be spoken in vane). So when Jesus said “then you are very close to heaven” , he meant “you are very close to god”.

Of course the term has meant also the heavens (the stars, the sky) and jesus was seen to rise up to them. I think it should be viewed as a metaphor for a place of dreams. Earth is the place as I see it for the manifestation of our dreams. So to bring heaven to earth, just do whatever necessary to make your dreams come true, or humanity’s collective dreams come true.
