I need some troubleshooting help with my Kingston microSD and adapter.

When I put the card and adapter into the microSD slot on my computer, nothing registers. Nothing pops up, and the drive doesn’t show up under My Computer.

There are so many posibilities I’m not sure where to begin. If the chip doesn’t show up in either device I would assume that the chip is defective. The only way I can think of to verify that is to get another chip and see if it works. If you have an adapter you could check the memory chip in a digital camera. Your local computer store should have a way to check it for you. I shouldn’t believe they would be lame enough to charge you…
