When I started my computer this morning,it was blank screen.Turned it off,then on,got error message

saying,”windows did not shut down correctly,choose mode” Chose “SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING”.Now
I,m stuck,this is the only mode it will work in, restore does’nt work,seem to have been going round in circles!!!Got huge icons, black-screen,no functions except this one.HELP!!!!

yes try what “WHATABIGNICKNAM ” just said.
if that doesn’t work then just turn off the computer
while you’re still on Windows.
Then when the computer asks you again
”windows did not shut down correctly,choose mode”
this time choose “normal Mode”
windows should start and all be happy.

This is one of the reasons to not just turn off the computer from the on/off switch on the computer. What you should have done was chosen “NORMAL MODE” as one of the choices. This is the reason a “NEWBIE should follow instructions on their computers until they are familiar with the computer and operating system. Some computers are less prone to getting the message:
“Windows did not shut down correctly, choose mode:”
“SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING”
. . .
. . .
. . .
“NORMAL MODE”

and can be turned off at the computer switch.
