You won’t be able to get that file back now i’m afraid. Sounds like a virus.

Go onto “run” in the start menu.

Then type “msconfig”

Click on “startup”

Look down that list for anything that looks like a virus…and untick it for now. This way it should be disabled. Then you can look up on the internet the name of it and how to delete it.

If your not sure about anything post it here and i’ll try find out for you.

yeah.. its a virus.. i just checked the left overs of what was my music collection.. and it tells me it was last modified on the 21/07/2074…

cant seem to find any virus’ running..

and its strange as it only seems to have affected one folder..

and attacking someones music seems like hardly a good use of someones time :/

Viruses are never a good use of someones time lol. They are just really easy files to latch viruses onto. I take it you download them? Its so easy to get a virus in.

Well if you cant find any running…then get a good virus checker. AVG do a free one and they are pretty decent.

If you want to buy one, i’ve got windows live onecare. Its really really good and its only £15 and you can put it on 3pcs.

I think thats your best bet. try to stay out of your music folder…get this virus deleted. Then open it. You may have a chance of seeing your music again. But try to leave the folder until you get a good checker and remove the virus.
