Beauty help: I want to go to a concert. - Help.com

I want to go to a concert.

The only problem is, it’s general admission/standing room only. It should be pretty safe, but my mum is worried about someone getting hurt there. Just with the whole crowd problem and pushing and stuff.
I’d like to know the benefits and problems with general admission concerts and tips on when to go/how early to go/what to bring, etc. for if I do go.
Any suggestions?

Yeah it all depends on the type of music. And how popular it is, if it sells out etc. If it’s heavy and busy, standing at the front risks injury yes, but you’re not likely to get hurt unless you get fully involved with a mosh pit or whatever. Gigs are generally pretty safe, even if it gets violent people look out for each other. If you’re still worried just stand nearer the back, you’re guaranteed safety there I guess.
If it’s fairly mellow music, people will pretty much just stand and watch, maybe a bit of head nodding and that’s it. You might be a bit squashed if it sells out, but nothing dangerous.
Tell your mum there’s nothing to worry about, I’ve been to many gigs, moth violent and mellow and have never been seriously hurt.

Its way better to be roughin it in the crowd (aside from the smell). But yeah don’t bother geting there early, if your hot enough you’ll find your way to the front lol. But you just don’t take any **** and you’ll be fine. NOW! tell us who your going to see??

I still need to do some convincing, but I want to go see Panic at the Disco, The Hush Sound, Motion City Soundtrack and Phantom Planet.

I’m sure this won’t happen! That was a very large amount of people… Don’t worry, have you shown your mum the replies on here?
