Just because he has it doesn’t mean he got it from you. The HSV virus can be dormant in your body for years. He could’ve very well gotten it a long time ago, and it’s just now that he’s showing signs of an outbreak; probably do to stress, which is the main cause of an outbreak. Don’t beat yourself up for this. Find a local doctor that specializes in infectious diseases and go see him. Tell your “man of your life” to get informed before he comes accusing you of something that is impossible to prove, like who you contracted HSV1 or HSV2 from.
Make sure you get tested while you have an outbreak, not a blood test, as a blood test only tells you that you have at some point been exposed to the virus.
Be smart, it’s YOUR health and your life.
