please give your opinion, i need some advice, im driving myself insane…

i feel like i’m never truly wanted by any guy, and not by this one, because he seems to like everyone, despite beign “shy”. things always end up going wrong for me when i like people…

i don;t want to like this guy, and i don;t know whether i really do or not, because of the way he is with other girls. he seems to know what a proper relationship should entail, which no boyfriend ever has, and is more mature in some ways than other guys, but the way he treats me would usually make me feel just a little bit special or wanted…but doesn’t, because he treats other girls the same way..

it’s this guy i share a class with, who recently has been sitting with me and my friends and chatting about general stuff - things i like talking about, especially to guys.

the problem is, he’s been saying a few strange things. like when we were discussing parties, i said i was a dreadful lightweight, and my friend said “yes, shes desperate when shes drunk”. to which he asked whether i drew a line at anyone, which ended up with me and him working out who goes above and below the “line” out of the people we know. eventually my friend said “what about him?”, pointing to this guy, to which i replied “….hell yes,” kind of half sarcastically, and he puts himself miles above anyone else on this picture of the line, with “number one” written beside it. And later on, when i was walking with my mates, we passed him and he shouted “i’m her number oneeee!”

my friends from that class tell me they think he fancies me, because of that, and what we were talking about (relationships - he did seem overly interested in my opinions on them - he was saying how he was shy when it came to talking about emotions or starting relationships when not drunk). however, i know for a fact hes recently asked one of my friends out, spends a lot of time with her. and he’s been saying things like “there;s always me” to my other single friend.

see, he may “fancy me”, but he fancies everyone, i’m never anything special..

tell me what you think?

should i bother, considering how things always turn out wrong for me?

Keep your head up. Although he may seem mature on things like relationships, you want to keep an eye on the way he is when he is not around you. Most people put on a great impression- sometimes it is right and sometimes it isn’t. First figure out if you really like him…for him and not just because he shows some attention to you ( as he shows others). Just be smart about it.

i like some things about him, and we get on pretty well, but what if that’s just the front he puts up for everyone else?

and i’m the only one who’s fallen for it….idiot…

Well…don’t get down about it…alot of people feel the same way you do. I do not know how old you are and in the end it doesn’t really matter. If he really did like you …he would have asked you out…keep in mind that he has asked out other girls…that you know. Actions speak louder then words….although cliche…it is true.

Seems like he may be the kind of person who just wants to be wanted….but not had by any one person. Don’t feel like an idiot- just focus on what you can do to set things straight with yourself…so that you don’t have insecurities that may you feel so confused. :) You seem like an honest and caring person and deserve someone who is not going to be “that guy”. Glad I could help. :)

I agree with Poe…I think he may be insecure with himself.
