You say ‘re-install’. Why do you need to re-install? Are you doing the same thing that you did originally? Are you sure that you’re not using the Vista driver? The drivers for Vista and XP are different and are NOT compatible.

I don’t know anything about a Vista driver. I am trying to reinstall because I have removed the Lexmark from my system, as instructed by Lexmark techs. How do I know if I am using a Vista driver?

Your best bet is to go to Lexmark.com look under drivers for the printer you have and downlosd a driver from them. This site also allows you to see if your lexmark will work with Vista.
