my name is stephen. I need help in returning to a career in engineering, after leaving the industry a year after my apprenticeship finished, around 13 years ago. anyone got any ideas? cheers:-)

Start submitting your resume everywhere you can and talk to managers and potential employers to explain the hiatus in your career path. You may have to backtrack a bit since it has been such a long time.

don’t muck around .Come to Australia and work on outboard motors and grass mowers repair business work for your self.you’ll make a packet and be your own boss…believe me to get one mechanic to fix your mower or your outboard motor waiting list is about 4 weeks….

I’m an engineer in the US working the water process equipment. We can’t find enough engineers to do the mountain of work we have.

If the UK doesn’t have enough jobs, look into Canada or Alaska’s mining industry

thankyou to you all:-) unfortunately I have vertigo so the rope access course is out i’m afraid. I have been applying for jobs but no-one has been very interested yet. Australia America and Canada sound good and I will look into those, but being 37 years old may be a handicap? ta ra for now.
