I have been disabled for over 8 years now and have

been fighting for forgiveness of the student loan, I have had the Legal aid defenders who handled my case for a little while but are closing it now. I am so depressed and heart broken because , I can hardly pay my rent and utilities now, but the Department of Education does not care about my disability or the fact that I am disabled they want to take my money! then how Will I live I am seriously thinking about ending it all. I am just devestated, I have been fighting them since 2000-2001, I used to be a teacher then I was in a auto accident and slowly began unable to work because of pain and suffering, then I was finally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Degenerative Arthiritis, high blood pressure, cronic fatique, sleep apnea just to name a few problems, I sleep a lot and am in pain all the time. Is there a lawyer, or a way that someone can get the DOE off my back, some grant that can pay them off or stop them from taking what little I have to live off of I will be 55 years old in august and I cant take this pressuere.

have you talked to a disabled advocacy group in your area already about this situation?

if not, call 202-457-0046 (American Association for People with Disabilities), tell them where you live and they will give you a local #.

please forgive me for assuming that you are american.

i also have fibro and chronic pain, chronic fatigue, depression, and chronic severe inflammation in several parts of my body. there are good days and bad days, so hold on for one of the good days to come.

You can try freelance writing, bookkeeping, software, transcription or customer service work at home jobs. These companies do not require any fee and pay well . List of companies(with websites) offering genuine work at home jobs is available at http://www.pcworkathome.net . Many of these companies have been in business for several years

You can also try your luck at online charities like Digital Charity, people may send donations if your story is convincing enough. More information at http://www.laodn.org/

Yes the teachers union should be able to help you find a lawyer, it’s also important you talk to a social worker about your depression.(I’m not sure that a social worker is the answer but because of your situation I doubt you could afford a therapist)I can relate to the fibromyalgia pain it kept me down for a long time (still does but now I’m on pension.
