i need help with dental work and i have no idea how to get it.

i’m a single mom, always broke, i have trouble with trying to bounce back from much serious trauma and my front teeth are in need of repair, i feel i cant even smile anymore because im embarrassed, i feel ugly. i barely keep the lights on and food on the table and i’m a good person. im not looking for money, im looking for either a dentist who will help me with low cost work or someone who will help me with the dental bill. to keep it simple, i feel stupid putting this out there but also feel desparate as i am suffering more than i can express. can someone help me? thank you, in advance, for any help or direction you can give me. sincerely.

This might sound scarier than it actually is… in some cities there are colleges that have dental programs where the public can have dental work done for less maybe free. I think there are some low cost clinics too. Try to do a Google search for such programs in your area — a county health office might be a good place to call and ask if they know of any programs. Some really good dentists will work on a sliding scale and provide payment plans. Hate to throw this warning out there but do try to get some references — there are some not so great dentists out there too.

I have dental phobia so I understand some of the fear in this area…

thanks so much for your response, i greatly appreciate it, allthough i should have mentioned that i did do all of that. there’s 2 schools, both about 2 hours from me, new jersey and connecticut. i’ve called some dentists [and oh, i am a giant chicken too!!!!! did i mention how scared i am of dentist visits? lol, even still] and the best anyone offered was 2 payments [in full cost!] one the first visit, and the rest the second visit when its done.
it’s sooo hard to find help, i’ve tried so much on my own. i’m hoping [against all odd’s] an angel dentist will appear.. or an angelic help.
