well if it is wet don’t plug it in, let it dry out some place warm but that is not too hot, let it dry out slowly.

I had the same thing last week - dropped an entire glass bottle of water out over my wires. So i blew and blew at the cables then as Lazy says, left it to dry. It is all that works other than replacing them..

dry off as best you can with paper wait one hour in a dry location.
did you get water completely inside the adapter, in other words, was the whole
adapters submerged underwater?if so it might have a problem when you plug it in.
So supervise it when you plug it in. Don’t plug in and walk away.
If it makes a gurgling or hissing sound or smoke, unplug it.
