How do I stop my computer speakers from playing a radio station?

I have altec lansing speakers connected to my Dell XPS pc and they always play terrestial radio station in the background. the music is horrible to boot! How do I stop this interferance?

I updated the tag for your question, and based on suggestions I found in the search results, it sounds like you need to buy a ‘mains filter’ (RadioShack should have these in stock) to put on your power cord to get rid of this.
