I thought it was all about time zones?
Isn’t the UK evening the American morning or something like that (and yes I am rubbish at knowing this stuff)

well if you think about it they’ll be online when english people are.

I have been asked, and I am friends with nealry everyone here, neither close or not close.
I suppose the reason they are on all at the same time or round about is becuase they are from the same area/country, hence why they are trying to bring in people fromdifferent countries, to try and close that time gap.
One step at a time I suppose and things do get sorted even if it is later rather than sooner.

Mods are picked based on their conduct on the site, not where they live. However, we are aware that there are times of the day when there are a lack of mods on and we are currently looking to fill the gap. Therefore, your post’s message doesn’t make sense for we do not base our mods off of timezone.

Well, of course we’re going to pick a friend. We’re not going to pick someone who we hate and make them a mod because they’re in a good timezone. That’s not the way it works. We pick based on what they can provide the site and almost 99% of the time we’re friends with them because they are good people. So chances are, we will pick a friend of ours.

I have 2 things to say to this post Shizuko.

1. In the title you say “she”. Meaning Cookies-and-cream. Timezone was not as much consideration when she was selected as we where short handed for all times of the day. She was picked because she often sent problems she found TO us mods. Therefore we had an idea already how competent she would be. We saw what she considered trouble. This fit what we where looking for. Couple that with how many friends she has on this site and you get a person who already has a lot of respect and a great report with this community. Her insight and views have proven there value since she was selected. Not to beat a dead horse but, anyone who keeps their level head during an attack like the display Marco gave at her appointment and does not let opinions like yours bother her has proven even more that she is “thick skinned and competent” enough for the job. In short, she was picked solely on ability.

2. You make a point of bringing up discrimination a lot. Any time one person or group makes a decision it will always be discriminatory to another’s view. Therefore, a definition of what type of discrimination is necessary. You have failed to provide that. We have a mod that is 16 so it is not age. We have men and women of multiple nationalities so, thats not it. Yes, we are predominantly in the USA. Then again, so is the user base. Skin colour means nothing on the net… So, that can not be it. We have every level of religious and political view covered so, not there either. Bare in mind that the administration has changed so, past discretions are a moot point. As an example I bring your attention to the fact you are still here. I seem to recall you being banned before for incessantly arguing the same points. And all your arguments then do not equal half of what you have said in the past week. I will also point out that there are mods who have ask why you are still around. It is Yourabi, him self, that has been your strongest supporter. And I, your second.

Constantly restating the problem is not helping. Try explaining WHY it is a problem. People think you feel discriminated over not getting dev switch or modship. Dev is not being given out anymore. And your shout saying that if we are going to reply to you telling you that we took care of a report you flagged means you will no longer flag reports tells us you are not that thick of skin your self.

Using a new method of phrasing, please tell me your concern. And why it is a concern. I will ask you more questions to clarify and then translate for the others as I seem to have a knack for correctly interpreting what people mean versus what they say.

I was asking why you feel you have been lied to and discriminated against. And posting the old thread is not a “new method of phrasing”. Off to the bank. Think on it and give me your thoughts. Not what you per sieve as the facts but why you per sieve them as fact.

Why the heck does that matter? Dev switch hasn’t been given out since Jeff was here lol. The dev site is no different than the normal one right now so there’s no point of having it.
