I get it everytime I mow the grass, my doctor gives me predozone(spell check) I think it’s helps because of the steriod that’s in it. Take oatmeal baths, there is a box of this stuff at walmart that helps, go in the health and beauty part. I know zinc helps too. Really your going to have to wait it out and if you want to have it gone in less then I week your only best bet is to talk to your doctor and ask for meds from it. See ya Elizabeth:)

My suggestion is to apply a mangosteen product in the affected area. Go to www.xango.com, this is the most popular brand. It is a drink beverage which has helped over 600,000 people world-wide.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the suggestion. Where do I go to actually buy it? I went to the site, but I could not see any information about what stores carry it.

Thanks again for your HELP!

I do apologize. You can’t buy it in stores. It’s a direct sales company (The highest quality I might add.) XANGO has recieved the 2006 award from Ernst & Young as the most prestiegous Work from Home company in America.

To answer your question though: call 1-800-GO-XANGO they are open until mid-night MST.

The same way Costco or SAM’S Club requires a $35 membership, the same is needed for this company. $35 gets you a membership and you can buy the product wholesale at $25 a bottle. And trust me, you will N-E-V-E-R regret it! They drop-ship it to your home (it’s more convenient that way!)

I’m already a member, just use me as a referral. I’m very selective about who I give my member ID to but you really need it.

It’s :4943180 and my name is Fritz G Exantus. Remember that it is a drink. Drink 1-2 fl.oz. three times per day for yourself and dabb the juice on the poison ivy. Buy a case (trust me!)

Note: When your at www.xango.net. On the bottom of the screen double-click “contact.” You will find their customer services.

I know you will get better. My wife is in Germany and they are crazy about this product!

a good cure for poison ivy is taking dog poop and smearing it over the infected area. this may sound really gross but it works great!

The irritant in poison ivy is urushoil. It is a b>sticky oil /b>.
If you come into contact with it, it will cause problems until it is removed from your skin and anything that comes in contact with your skin. There are several products sold just for this.
br>I’m very allergic to urushoil and have tried many. The best and most readily available is the same soap that your mechanic uses to remove motor oil from their hands.
Because urushoil is a sticky oil it does require a little more scrubbing but it works 100%.
br>Directions for removal:
br>1.Apply the soap dry b>(DO NOT ADD WATER) /b> to the affected area.
br>2. Scrub for 2 minutes.
br>3. Wash off completely with b>COLD /b> water. If you use hot water, then you may be in for an unpleasant surprise!
br>Note: The residue soap will now contain the urushoil, and when the residue drys it may become sticky oil again.
br>4. All itchiness should be gone. If not repeat the process.

br>I like Lava and JoJo brands the best. The grittier the better.
br>Walmart, KMart, Your local auto parts store will all carry this soap. I usually buy the 16 oz squeeze bottles for around ~$2.
br>This soap also gets the urushiol and many stains out of clothes. Just be sure to hose the residue off the clothes before adding them to your laundry.

The key with posion ivy/oak/sumac to begin with is to CLEAN with alcohol, cold water, soap as QUICK as possible. The sooner you clean the better your chance of nothing is.

If you are so lucky as to be past that point. STILL TAKE A SHOWER and get cleaned and clean off everything.

If you’re starting to suffer I’d reccommend using some of the tecnu products, or tea tree oil.. or if you are the homeopathetic type I’ve heard success using rhus tox which is a form of poison ivy to lessen the allergic reaction.

Check out http://www.poisonivyoak.com/ or http://www.poisonivyoak.com/treatment… for a good basic resource.
