Same problem here, it wont work even touchpad only the right buttons. I have Compaq Evo …blah blah blah. ….what should i do?!
mines exactly the same, it stopped working completely for a good couple of months, then all of a sudden started working and now its broken again, it wont allow me to left click on the touchpad either, could it be some kind of virus?
Same, infact it happened just right now…
I cant click with the left or the touch pad but when i use the right click button it works. I dont get it :’(
you should do system recovery default system back to factory condition
my dad said if you take it apart. i have the exact problem and it is the keys not the touch pad.
So did mine, i think its nothing to do with the laptop settings, just that the button has worn out? I just changed my settings and made my right hand button the one i press :D
the left click on my laptop isn’t working either, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t. But if I click it more to the right then it usually works but it’s still so annoying and I don’t know how I should fix it..
The problem is the physical contact of the left click button. So it is hardware.
There are a couple of options for you to try
1) Simply use an external mouse.
2) If you have a Machine with a pointing stick and hence 2 left and two right buttons simply disable the trackpad buttons and use the stick buttons.
3) Switch the left click function to the right button and set the left and centre buttons to “do nothing” then use the right click buttons instead of the left.
4)Finally on my machine it appeared that the problem could be resiled be placing a gentle amount of pressure on the edge of the problem left click button. This suggested a replacement button and contact point is necessary.
Hope these help
