i never heard anything. i was given a number to call. I called it everyday and nothing ever came in. Then one day randomly i got a check in the mail. I never recieved any letters about going to court or anything. So i am assuming nothing is going to happen. but im not certain.

If I were you I would contact your DA’s office and arrange a way to speak to legal council.

ok. will do. its been a year next month. i dont think they are going to do anything. it was very minor and it shouldnt have happened in the first place. how long can they press charges for? isnt there a set time limit?

This is way too complicated- there seems to be much debate about the topic and about what is reasonable but apparently there are state laws regarding the numeric values of time. Ask your DA or another lawyer i guess.
