Never give up hope.
Last year I lost my job and felt I lost my life to depression. I was admitted to the local phsychiatric hospital as a day patient with clinical depression. I wanted to die and I could not explain to people how much I had enough of life. I could see no good in the world and felt I was enveloped in darkness.
Today the hospital have informed me that they think I am now well enough to go it on my own. With their help and support I can now see the future. I have learned skills to help me cope with the world and can now look at my problems clearly instead of emotionally. I also have my old job back, although I will be on probation for a while.
What I am trying to say is: don’t give up hope, even if you feel you are in a very bad place there is a way out. Most importantly, do not be afraid to ask for professional help, you may be too far gone for the well inentioned to understand, and once you get their help, you may find out that your problems are not that far removed from other people you may meet, making you feel the closest you have felt to normal in a long time.
I am sitting here with a nice glass of Chablis toasting my success. I also raise my glass to your recovery, good luck.
