Well for the first two have you ever thought about using a socail networking site like myspace or facebook. They have good reasorces for both Authors and muscians to help promote their work. For the 3rd one however it’s not your fault you had friends who would abndon you like that.

Well, the first book I finished, the only one as of now, is about an orphan boy and a runaway girl who meets by chance and ends up on there own trying to overcome various obstacles in front of them while both getting over their dark pasts to find a family and home to call their own. It’s very original, and the few people who have read it really enjoyed it. The price is reasonable as well. Only $2 for a download, and $8.50 for a paperback copy.

Myspace takes other people’s rights from their creations. I know a friend who made music on it and had his rights taken away on there. Also, because of the friend’s issue, myspace and facebook doesn’t help.

if i want to buy a paperback where would i get it? like a store or online?

As of now, paperback and e-book versions are linked to from the site mentioned on the main post of this topic, but the 5 or 6 people so far who said they would buy it never did. That’s part of the reason I’m not inspired to write more in my 30+ books to come.

And the first chapter and a half are previewed for free. from there, but no one is interested still. I advertised on 5 or 6 websites so far and told all my friends back then, as well as several co-workers, but not one person downloaded or bought it yet.

wow. if people do buy the books then forget then, i sugjest you go ahead and write the books. if people dont but your books now, maybe in a year or 2, or even more. dont sweat it, the more the books the more the choises.

But I want to get my name out there now so I can have hope that all this is worth while. I know I’ll keep writing, but all this money isn’t even for things like shoes or games. It’s to get money to help my family, as well as to move across the US to be with my boyfriend. I only bought things twice for myself since around 5 or 6 months ago if you don’t count food and rent.
I at least want people to go to my site, but no one is even doing that. I try to update every day or two, and the topics varies pretty well.
Another question just came up. What’s needed to get my books in a local book store?

I you want your site to get more traffic you should try getting other sites to link to it and reference it. That way when people type something into a search engine your site will be more likely to pop up on the list.

i know exactly what you´re on about. i can´t help you. my life seems to be cursed too. nothing works out. i got so many idears and it never works out. i don´t even complain anymore, well sometimes. all i can say is: this system doesn´t work out for me. your proberbly not even interrested in what i´m writing.
and i´m not happy that other people feel the same as i do. it only shows me that there are not many ways out, if any.
the only reason why i didn´t kill myself yet is, becourse i want to live.
its just so difficult.
i think the only way out, is to become a buddha…
