Everytime there’s good news, something bad happens too.
Last night I got a phone call from a children’s wear store asking me to come in this morning for a job interview. It is a supervisor’s position, full time with decent pay and I believe some benefits. The interview went very well.
This morning, my mom called to say that my cousin was killed last night. He had a breakdown because he was separated from his wife which led to her calling the police on him. When they arrived, he was shooting his gun into the air and they ended up having to shoot him down. Things like this do not happen in my family.
I didn’t even know my cousin (he’s a lot older than me), but I know his parents, especially his dad and I can’t even imagine what they’re going through. Plus, I think my cousin had a couple of kids, I have no idea how old they are, but that’s no way to lose a father, son, or anyone else you love.
