What are your thoughts on Rock Band?

I want to know if you think it’s a good game or not. Preferably comments from people that actually own it or play it.

Meh, its a fine group game, really easy, and is reasonably fun.
Its just feeding off that dream of being a rock star that 99% of people have had at one point in their life.

I’ve known people that played it so much that they might as well have picked up a real guitar and learned to play it.

Then you could say “I know how to play a real guitar” as opposed to “I can play guitar and score 5Stars on any song in Rock Band”.

But as far as the game itself goes, its not bad.

I don’t play Rock Band normally, but I played it at my friend’s house once.
It’s a great group game, and the drumming is pretty realistic!
The only issue is, the guitar controller is absolutely awful…at least, the one I used was.

I love rock band…I have so much fun playing it…all though I dont really do too well its fine…its still fun! and thats the point

I heard the guitar that comes with it isn’t too good, but we’re planning on getting it for PS2 so we’re using the Guitar Hero guitar instead. It’s supposed to be compatible. We also have mics for the PS2 so all we need to get are the drums and the disk. That’s why I’m wondering. You think it’s worth it? I’ve got half the equipment already.
