It’s like an unconventional method to beat anxiety disorders.

I downloaded acquired copy of the package (nudge nudge wink wink). I haven’t opened all the media that came with it, but it comes with some guided visualizations. There is very little to it. Reading the manual it was hard to get any instruction out of it. He mainly just explains how anxiety disorders work. His 9 pillars were pretty much useless:
1. Stop going to doctors
2. Get of medications
3. find yourself a hobby/distraction
4. Stop telling people you have an anxiety problem
5. Stop researching anxiety disorders
6. Only follow the linden method
7. Stop relying on others to help you with your disorder

etc.. etc…

As you can see, most of the advice can be dangerous as it cuts you off from the help that your looking for. I have been following most of that stuff since before I had anxiety anyway, and I still have problems. There are a few points of good advice in his method. I find the book long and lacks structure I’m looking for. Most of it is reading about Linden’s personal experience, and background information about anxiety. There are lots of parts I haven’t explored yet, and I think there are things like diversion tactics in there too.

To save you the trouble and expense of his method here is what I think would be the equivalent:
1. Get a book on cognitive behavioural therapy for anxiety/depression. Read it, understand the why, and the techniques for dealing with it.
2. Practic yoga, reiki, and other new age relaxation techniques.
3. Buy a relaxation cassette and listen to it once or more per day.
4. Get a hobby.
5. Be physically active.

There may be a few other gems of wisdom in his method but they are scattered throughout. I guess he wouldn’t be able to justify the cost if he streamlined the materials. I personally disagree with some of his advice. I think it may be best geared to those who suffer from panic attacks.

To clarify one of my points, Linden recommends you don’t seek elsewhere at all for help once you start his method, but a lot of the stuff you could find in a cognitive behavioural therapy book (which would probably be more helpful). The rest of the package is mostly guided relaxation, autobiography, and a summary of scientific understanding of anxiety disorders (with a strong non-medication bias).

I agree with what has been said. If you al ready understand what anxiety/panic attachs are the book wont help much.

In my opinion Charles Linden is a dangerous con-artist and his pack does not work. I bought it when I was suicidal with anxiety. Initially I thought it was good, then I relapsed and it did not work the second time. Because a main part of the advice is ‘do not go to doctors’, I kept trying to re-do the method by myself, resisting help until I got so bad I tried to kill myself. This might sound crazy but that is what the pack did to me. I emailed Charles himself and found him arrogant, stupid and greedy.

I purchased the method, and call me crazy but I don’t know how to purposefully access my “subconscious”. Do I need to self-hynotize? How does one go about this?

I listen to the 9 Pillars cd and it helps very little, however, I lost the actual set of 9 pillars. I kept them separate. Can someone email them to me? Thank you.

It is not possible to be aware of your sub-conscious. This is a tautology. If you were aware of it it would not be sub-conscious. You can become aware of some of the things that are going on in your sub-conscious by analyzing your dreams or through psychotherapy, and you can change your subconscious by changing your attitudes and habits over time, or through hypnosis.

The Lenden Method works 100%. I had GAD for almost two years and it stoped it all. YOU are the only person that is creating YOUR anxiety. Our sub-conscious mind could at times be very dangerous. Think about it in this very interesting way……. your subconcious mind is stopping you from ordering the linden method. HAHAHAHAH!! Society has taught us that almost everything is a “scam”, and everyone is a “con-artist”.

A real smart person learns everything about something, and re-evaluates it all! =) I’m a real person…… this worked for me… start living your life and apply the lenden method already!!!

aashesinthefall, I’d like to ask you about your findings. I am not anxious right now as I am not in such a situation. I have been in the past though. I downloaded a torrent containing all the stuff linden charges for and found little to no substance. I am curious what exactly your recovery consisted of? Was it the guided relaxation, or specific principles and practices within the book? Please be specific.

I downloaded the charles linden method last night. I have been listening to it a lot today and I feel less worried and scared and anxious about leaving the house now. I don’t think its a “Scam” He has been through hell with his anxiety disorder and he is well now and wants to help other people that are suffering from the same thing. If I ever get 100 percent better I would like to help people who suffer from it as well. Also I couldn’t read the important stuff about the 9 pillars cos when I opened up the word docs it came with it gave me all of these weird codes and stuff and it didn’t say anything useful on them. So it would be a big help if someone could post them on here.

Linden Method Sucks. Stay away from it. The Linden Method Scam will not help you. All his testimonials are done by people who only have moderate or mild anxiety.

In my opinion, charles linden is an angel! He has helped me tremendously! I had tried everything to get rid of my anxiety and i would have to say that the biggest waste of money and time was cognitive behavourial therapy, it was useless!!!! Charles completely understands what anxiety sufferers are going through because he has been there himself!!! My advice is to purchase his pack, and even if you have to remain on medication for the time being, focus on natural things like aromatherapy, yoga and meditation - it really helps!!!!!

I had debilitating, lay in bed uncontrollable shaking panic attacks. The Linden audios were the tipping point to ridding myself of them. His “method” is sort of like finding out the simple explanation to an amazing magic trick, if you concentrate on the simplicity of it you will be let down. Instead, listen to the audios over and over and take advantage of their free phone support. When I discovered him, someone who had gone through far worse versions of my problems, something clicked (in my subconcious?) and it began receding. Especially after sucking it up and doing his panic eliminator technique. That was the “battle with the devil” but after two times, things started clearing up. It’s not for everyone, but it’s not a scam.

What about Panic-away? It seems this guy has flooded the internet any site is ultimately owned by him (Joe Barry). I can’t seem to get anything negative…everything is positive…that is JUST too suspicious.

Are you really an anxiety sufferer? This method has EVERYTHING you need to recover. It is not as you say mostly about Linden’s personal experience, but provides many, many tools to help recovery. I have been doing it for a week now with amazing results. I hope people aren’t guided away from the help they need by your incomplete (and somewhat snotty) evaluation.

The beauty of this program is that it’s written in language we can all relate to, not in the confusing language of some cognitive behavioral book written by a doctor.

If you had taken the time to go through the material, you would have found out that Charles Linden used some of your suggestions before he cured himself with the method presented in the material. Your suggestions are good ones, but they are lacking, obviously, or you wouldn’t still be seeking answers. Maybe Linden’s method would help you, too, if you took the time to learn it and live it.

BTW, maybe your moral character could use some help, too (nudge nudge wink wink).

Who are you to say anything about my moral character? You don’t know me. Just because I disagree with you does not make me a bad person. I don’t have anxiety problems much at all anymore. If you are right about it having many tools to help recovery then reactivate your account and give one single example.

I am interested in all facets of the human psychological-spiritual condition due to major dysfunction in my family. So I have read a lot and attended a lot of workshops and therapy groups. Most suicides, alcoholics, smokers, and other addicts have a long history of anxiety and depression (so I have been told). So this Linden fellow caught my attention when I stumbled upon his video on youTube and followed his url link to his sales page. So let’s now talk about moral character …. As long as a person is capable of paying his rent and other necessities of life by using his many skills and abilities I hardly think that he should go around charging $99. for information that could save people from the hell of anxiety and the brink of suicide. If he truly gave a hoot about human beings and their agonizing suffering he wouldn’t be charging for information that could save people from misery. He could charge for personal consultation, or teleconferences to help people over the hard parts like all the rest of the internet gurus are doing!!!!!!!!!!

Certainly every human being needs to earn money, but there are hundreds of ways to do so other than through selling so called “special, unique, effective” health information to desperate human beings! Information regarding health and healing does not belong to the individual who claims to have “discovered” it; it belongs to the world. Not only that, the reality is that nobody “discoveres” anything without borrowing (nudge nudge wink wink )wisdom and knowledge from other writers, therapists, scientists and speakers. Every scientist, healer, doctor or all around guru has gotten where he/she is off of the sweat, blood, tears and backs of his culture and predecessors! That’s how society PROGRESSES!!!!!! If this Linden fellow was a really and truly enlightened and highly moral guy he would take the high road, he would take the chance that the Universe would find a way for him to support his “research” and information-publishing-efforts in some other way.

And kudos to the guy who downloaded the material (torrents) and did some research and published his opinions for the rest of us to see. Now that’s the high road if you ask me! I am so sick of paying for hyped-up special secret cures that are just a bunch of re-packaged, re-regurgitated chicken soup. If the methods really do heal people the guy would be rich simply on freely given donations and generous contributions to his cause. Trust me, that’s how a lot of us make OUR living! And yes, we all owe the information-pirates a huge debt of gratitude. We wouldn’t be here without them!
