hmm…It’s difficult not to judge someone by how they look, because that is the first thing you notice about someone. I personally don’t judge people by their weight, or any disabilities.
i would say i judge people based on how they present themselves. For example the difference between punk, business men, average joe, biker guy, gangsta etc. Also hyigene plays a huge role if you smell or look dirty its hard to make friends. I dont really notice when people are fat and i dont think less of people who are.

wow. that isn’t really nice at all

well i know that. i’ve never seen you be nice, you always tend to offend people.
but thanks for you honest opinion.

Well, when it comes to friends, I don’t judge them by the way they look. It doesn’t concern me how a friend wants to look, or that they might have some physical problem with like weight, or generally just are butt ugly. When it comes to dating, I will openly admit that I look for women that are pleasing to the eye. I mean, who wouldn’t? I’ve always been a firm believer in that the phrase “inner beauty is more important than outer beauty” is - to some extent - a bunch of rubbish, but hey… that’s just my opinion anyway. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
i have to agree.
but i hate it when just becasue you are someone’s friend you aren’t fat to them or you aren’t ugly to them. but when it comes to someone you don’t know, it it a different situation.
I try not to Judge people by their looks theres always something nice about someone i think:)
but people who are un healthy and dont look after themselves is a real turn off.
my gf is beautiful

If she’s good looking and turns out to be a *b-word*, then I at least get 1 out of 2, which I’m perfectly ok with until the next one comes along.

lol. ok.
bad hygiene.
too skinny.
purple teeth.
As long as they’re not dirty and don’t smell like they rolled out of a dumpster.

lmao. agreed!!!
“no problem, I was just wondering if there was such a thing, sounds like a bad horror movie.”
you could get black teeth that haven’t fully reached that dead point and they’re still brownish yellowish. and it can come off as purple….no?
I actually do judge people a lot. I try not to but…
I don’t like people who dress really boring and don’t ever try to stand out with their fashion
I don’t like people who are at the wrong weight…everyone looks best at a certain weight might be small might be a little bigger
I don’t like people with bad skin…real turn off.
and i’d rather be friends with someone who looked like they were happy and have fun
will I do care if someone is optionally too fat, as in they choose to be overweight to the point where they can’t get up anymore.

This would be a nightmare
bad teeth and bad hygene
I like her/hes eyes very devil like , bet shes a wild one.
LMAO!!!
sooo, begin thinking about other things, peircing, hair, and such. material stuff i mean. i would like opinions on that as well.
depends on people’s tastes
I dont care is a person is of -average/slightly above/slightly below- weight. I odnt care if you have a pimple here or there (in the teen yrs ONLY. It hppens to everyone, no need to judge) But I hate when people dont look after themselves and then complain about it! I love nice smiles. I think piercings and tattoos depend entirely on how it suits the person, so really I can go either way. And I like people who put effort into their style. But I hate when guys where chains (like key chains) on their jeans, or connected to their wallets. Theyre soo annoying!
but then should beggars be choosers?

I think on this subject, you have the liberty to not beg. It doesnt end well.
I think were all kidding ourselves.we need to admit that looks play a huge part
in how we judge someone. We know we shouldn’t use this as a criteria but we do.
It has been programmed into our brains from long ago. We can’t get rid of it.
After we get to know someone then their looks become less and less important.
that is putting it perfectly
very true
welcomes
I do find though that as I get older that looks count for less and less. Probably b/c I cared about looks before and ended up with some really bad results. So looks are lower(to a point), than personality, in my books.
i dont judje well sure i have opinions about ppl but i dont speak them untill i know them

TO WHAT EXTREME DO YOU JUDGE PEOPLE BY THEIR LOOKS?
One extreme I think we use ,is we sometimes look at someone and think they are
a something or other and then draw a conclusion from that.
For example: someone may look like a stalker to us. So we immediately become fearful.
But the stalker may be just overly friendly or doesn’t know how to socially approach
someone. So our judgments can very often destroy a good relationship at the beginning
for no reason.
I think looks are important. The way you look represents who you are. At least to a certain extent. Skin color, eye color, weather or not you have freckles, obviously cant be controlled by you. But the way you dress tells other people a teeny piece of what youre like. Like weather you dress preppy, or punk, or emo.. then you attract people that would probably have similar interests. But I think b/c people have less to do, and are becoming increasingly lazy, we just gossip and judge other people to such a degree that nobody is actually perfect anymore. Well, that was my little rant on the subject. =]
I agree with you kemmy our outward appearance can be modified highly
by the way we present ourselves. It’s an important point.
excellent replies from both of you :)

I will go even further. I believe that the media is responsible for damaging
peoples view of one another when it comes to things like stalkers. They reinforce
in us that we are to be fearful of almost anybody who looks out of the ordinary.
The media (and hollywood) also damages the way a healthy person should look and act.
i dont judge mainly because im quite big myself and am not very pretty but i dont thinks looks matter i only care about personality

I have stopped judging people in becoming my friends. but as for date material i do. but i am honest that i do it. but i am trying not to.in time i will do it nonetheless i am human.everyone does it but doesn’t admit it.
These are my turn-offs: overwieght, bleach-blonde hair, and country/gangster sytles (cowboy hats, sagging pants). Just about anything else is good by me.
hey i think dat outer beauty comes only when someone is beautiful from within it all reflects on d face how one is from inside ….every person has a diff outlook
one really need to have some knowlegde of physiognomy to know how each appearance has a different meaning
