You ask help.com, of course.
Have you applied for welfare or food stamps?

You can’t even work at McDonalds or anything, just for the time being?
Can your kids work?

you can try modestneeds.org I’ve heard that they can sometimes help. I would also write every friggin talk show in the states. It seems to me they’ve done more good than ANY government organization.

You could work one of those kinds of jobs just for now to pay the bills, and in the meantime hand out resumes and interviews and things like that.
As for the kids, well you could work during the daytime while they’re at school or late at night. I work with this woman at McD’s who’s in her fifties with 2 kids and she does that.

The systems in the US really are a big pile of mess, it’s a wonder anyone can get by.

no i’m at a church now , and as always oh they can’t help, but thats not the first time i’ve heard that…

There are churches that will help you even if you are not a member of the church, check with local churches in your area.

As far as your jobs skills, sometimes we just have to do what we have to do, take a lesser job to feed our families until a better one comes along and it is possible to work while kids are in school, unless they are younger, again local churches can help find daycare, there are also other ways to find daycare, programs for working mothers, also you could probably hire someone that might charge reasonable rates based on your income.

Either way since you mentioned prayer, I will say that I will pray for you and your children.

Check with another church.

Did I understand you right? You are at a local church right now? Are you on a laptop with broadband service?

Well, right there is part of the problem. If you can’t pay your bills, then maybe you should cut out some of the luxuries! If you can pay for broadband service, surely you could buy groceries, instead of trying to get food stamps.
