I don’t think sending this to Congress will do any good. Because if they are to consider it, the only thing they would be able to do is change the laws of freedom of speech.. and I doubt one website, no matter how damaging would make them do it.

There are other options.
You should send this petition and ask other people to nag the owners of the server they lease, whoever sold them the URL, and the other concrete things they use to get that website online through all the glorious methods of capitalism. Assuming people will understand the negative things this webiste does, I think that would work.

what if it is true and its something you didnt want the whole world to know?

The issues at hand here are cyberbullying, which advocates are trying to outlaw, and libel (written untruths about an individual or entity), which is not protected by free speech in the United States.

Slander is not allowed in the constitution(or libel, depending on if this counts as speech or press). One can not purposely write or speak about someone in a way that hurts them and that they know is false. I cannot suddenly declare that I saw Courty steal a crunch bar from the local seven eleven. That is slander. That is illegal, and if that ruins her reputation, she could sue me for it.

This site has slander written all over it, and if I found my name on it I would take that person to court.

Perhaps the site encouraging slander is illegal too…I don’t know…

if i signed this petition, it would be hypocritical to not sign one trying to shut down ED, and i dont want that.
